With 30 per cent of Surrey residents being under 19 years old, I see a need for more expertise in sport and leisure programs. I have the determination to bring that about. I have a proven track record of getting results by working effectively with others.
My careers include work as an Electrician, Educational Assistant, Family Support Worker, Sports & Leisure Programs Instructor, and Executive Assistant.
I was elected twice as a City Councillor in Campbell River.
I moved to Surrey with my family in 2000.
I am a good listener, work honestly and effectively to promote healthy discussion and debate on community issues, and advocate for residents and organizations alike.
I have a passion for sport and leisure activities having volunteered, managed and coached for Whalley Baseball, Minor Hockey, Minor Soccer, North Surrey Football, High School Rugby, Boxing and Fitness. I enjoy mentoring young people.
Experienced in collective bargaining contract negotiations, grievance & arbitration meetings & hearings.
Participated in Prince Charles Elementary School Parent Advisory Committee.
Political experience includes having encouraged participation from and consultation
with, residents, neighbourhoods and community organizations in the development of
a new Official Community Plan.

- Was a member of the Economic Development, Business & Tourism Committee
