The Surrey School District has been falling further and further behind for years. I will work with other trustees, school boards and the provincial government to implement a fair and viable funding formula for Surrey schools.
EXPERIENCE
I worked in education for 20 years as a Math, French, Science and Info Technology teacher. I held also the position of BC Ministry of Education Coordinator. Among other responsibilities I organised for many years training, conferences and workshops for teachers and educators throughout British Columbia. I have participated in writing and evaluating different BC curriculum.
I am currently the Director of French programs with the BC Teachers Federations

VOLUNTEER WORK
Since my arrival to B.C, I have been involved in working with different communities. I am a founding member of the Francophone Teachers’ Association and have held for many years the position of the Secretary of the Francophone parents association of B.C. I am also a founding of the Canadian Algerian Association of British Columbia and held for one year the position of a director of the DIVERSEcity, a Community Resources non-profit agency that offers a wide range of services and programs to immigrant and refugee communities. I am currently a director and founding member of the association: Francais du Monde, Vancouver.
PRESENTATION AND PUBLICATIONS
- Guest Speaker for The Royal Commonwealth Society Of Canada during the celebration of the 26th annual Commonwealth Day at UBC on March 2004. this presentation was on The role of education in enhancing understanding and appreciation for others.
- Speaker at the United Nation Model at Ismaili Jamatkhana Centre about his life experience, a co-sponsored event by Douglas College and the Canadian Institute of International Affair.
- Key note speaker with the Surrey Delta Immigrant Services Society.
