As long as I can remember, I have had a passion to use my skills, knowledge, education and experience to build bridges. While living in Surrey, I have been actively involved in empowering and encouraging residents to to build healthy, vibrant, stable, and sustainable communities.
My name is Kuldip Kaur Ardawa. I am married with a grown up family and three wonderful grandchildren. As a Surrey Civic Coalition candidate for council, I want work to positively contribute in our community to develop it to be vibrant and a shining example of efficiency, fairness, inclusiveness, innovative and progressive. This can be achieved by bringing and working together with employers, businesses and members of the community who are inspirational, motivated and creative.
I emigrated from England 8 years ago eager to work, eager to serve and eager to get involved in the community programs and projects both as a volunteer and as an employee. Throughout my working life I have been deeply committed to passionately work with community service providers, Federal, Provincial, Municipal government offices, employers, businesses and individuals to build new bridges, partnerships and work together to bring changes.
I am hard working, a well respected member of the community with excellent listening skills, non-judgemental mature personality and sensitive to all issues and challenges. I have extensive knowledge and deep understanding of most cultures and religions. I am able to effectively communicate with Surrey’s multi-cultural diverse community. With this unique skill I can reach and serve the wider community with confidence.
As SCC council, I will ensure transparency and accessibility. Your issues and concerns are important to me and I will work with you to find suitable solutions.
